With all of the different styles of floorplates available on today&#8217;s centerfire rifles, it&#8217;s easy to get confused. Larry Potterfield, CEO and Founder of MidwayUSA, provides the viewer with all the necessary information to distinguish one style from another using a Mauser 98 and a pair of Remington 700 rifles. The detachable floorplate is one that, once opened, is completely removed from the rifle as found on the Mauser. A hinged floorplate is one that swings open and remains attached to the rifle such as on a Remington 700 BDL rifle. The blind magazine style rifles utilizes an internal magazine that doesn&#8217;t protrude through the bottom of the stock, such as the magazine found on a Remington 700 ADL rifle.</p>
