You can buy numerous parts all over the internet but, not the frame or receiver without going face to face with a dealer and filling out all paperwork and getting a FBI ck up.
The ATF thought of this many years ago to make it illegal. On some guns you can buy all parts except the receiver with out a FFL…..on handguns you can buy all parts except the frame without a FFL and a background ck and old enough to legally buy. The ATF regulates guns and considers the frame and receiver(parts with ser#) the regulated part.
I assume you are too young or cannot buy a gun…..because even if you could it would cost you several times the cost of a complete gun.
As long as you have the frame you can order all you want and have it all shipped to your US address. Midway, Brownells, Numrich can get just about anything there is a listing for.
You need to have the frame (receiver) transferred to you through an FFL. This is to prevent some yahoo from buying a bunch of parts and just building their own.
OR
You could just legally buy a complete firearm. You CAN legally do that, right?
It is nearly impossible to do that unless you are a crack machinist/gunsmith. The ATF has regulations in place to keep that from happening. There are many places to buy gun parts, Cheaper than Dirt and Midway come to mind.
The receiver or frame will need to be shipped to your FFL dealer. So I suggest checking with him to cut down on shipping chargers. The rest can be sent straight to your home. As for sights, check out Brownells or MidwayUSA.com. These places will also sell receivers and frames but again, will need to be shipped to your FFL dealer.
yes for the first, no for the second unless you are buying a completed receiver
